Blender 2.79b & 2.8 Cycles render engine Textures from Poliigon Substance Painter Marvelous Designer During the holidays, I came a cross a lovely statue of a famous mexican actor in character (Mario Moreno "Cantinflas") from the 1940s through the 1970s. He played the part of Passepartout in the 1956 version of "Around the world in 80 days". I started out with the sculpt in a 2.8 alpha version to test it out, to see how things were coming along. After I was done, I had to go back to 2.79 for the retopo - because Retopoflow - and for rigging (rigify didn't work for me in 2.8). Anyway, when I was done, I brought it back to 2.8 and continued working on it. It kept crashing on me, but after downloading daily builds, it finally started getting more stable each day until I was able to work on it without any issues. I rendered using both 2.79 and 2.8 and it's amazing to see how faster 2.8 is. I would say 2.8 took about half the time it took in 2.79, so... thank you developers!
